Control Panel -- one session

This course will teach how to modify various computer settings for comfort, aesthetics and functionality. Settings covered include changing mouse settings and screen resolution, modifying the desktop background, customizing the Start Menu, viewing software loaded on the computer and uninstalling software. The price of this course is $10.00, payable at the time of registration.

Using Facebook -- one session

Facebook is an extremely popular Social Networking website. Learn what this site is all about and how to safely use it. Learn how to post comments and photos on Facebook. Learn how to manage who sees what you post. Interested students will be guided through getting a user id on Facebook. The price of this course is $10.00, payable at the time of registration.

Freeware -- one session

Learn about the different free software that is available to enhance your computer experience. The course includes website links and information on downloading software. The price of this course is $10.00, payable at the time of registration.

Gmail -- one session

Get your email online using Gmail, the popular webmail program from Google. Learn all the basics about using Gmail including composing and sending an email, receiving, reading and replying to an email, and forwarding an email to one or more people. Learn about some advanced Gmail features. The price of this course is $10.00, payable at the time of registration.

Shopping on the Internet -- one session

This course will teach you the ins and outs of shopping on the Internet. Learn how to research your purchases and the mechanics of making a purchase. Attention will be given to protecting yourself when shopping online. The course includes recommendations for shopping websites. The price of this course is $10.00, payable at the time of registration.

Spreadsheets -- three sessions

This is a 3 session course using the Openoffice.org Calc program. The first session will cover spreadsheet basics including entering data, using simple mathematical operators, formatting and printing. Autofill and Functions will be introduced. The second and third sessions will use real world situations and illustrate how to create spreadsheets to manage a checking account, stock purchases and doctor and Medicare payments. The price of this course is $30.00, payable at the time of registration.
